Moo-ve It on Over | Cybele’s Garden

Okay, so I was asked by Briar if I wanted to know more of what the festival was about other than the chocolate and forming new relationships, but it was also to honor a fertility goddess named Cyril? No, that wasn’t right… Sybil? No! I saw a name that looked familiar and it was called Cybele’s Garden. Cybele! That was the name. Granted, I wasn’t the brightest at remembering names as I was with faces, but this was going to be an interesting walk about. I also heard that the goddess was handy in the love department, so maybe she could walk someone my way?

I had some tulips I had brought with me to plant in my garden and spared a couple of bulbs to plant in the garden. All of mine were deep red and with their meaning of eternal love and passion, at least that is what I read what their meaning was and would be a perfect offer to Cybele. And a part of me to root here, for a new life and finding new friends and adventures in my life. Briar was a sweet person so far and would make for a good one. Along with Reece who helped me figure out what was going on when Spring’s Eve was happening.

Maybe I would even get the courage to speak to Jasper! I tail once again swayed happily to actually talk to him! I wanted to apologize for the odd behavior I’ve been displaying every time I saw the Mocha smelling Moo. Fiddle ferns, I sound so sad, I feel like a calf in daycare trying to make friends all over again! It’s not hard to talk to others! You introduce yourself, find a subject, and you talk about it! There! You made conversation and-!

I paused when I heard a moaning moo followed by a few grunts. I turned my head towards the hedge the noise was coming from before two bellows and the slapping of hides had my eyes widening, turning quickly through the labyrinth maze of plants. I thought I was safe, clutching my tulips as I panted. Face flushing as I overheard some cries of passion without meaning to. Only to hear more as I covered my mouth and tried to get out of there as quickly as I could while trying to find a perfect place for the flowers to be planted.

“Oh what have you gotten yourself into now?” I whispered to myself as I wanted to plant these and leave before anyone spotted me and thought worse of me. They could have thought I was some sort of pervert! I clutched my tulips close as I searched for a perfect plant for my flowers when I saw a little fountain that had some flower beds that were empty by it, making it a prime spot for them to grow without anything choking or uprooting them then if they were planted in the ground. I pulled a trowel from out of my bag that I had brought from home to plant my flowers.

“Cybele, I don’t know if you hear prayers or not, but if I do, I hope you hear mine. I want everyone to enjoy the festival. I want them to be loved so much that there is never a doubt in their mind that they are special, that they are cared for. That their quirks and personalities make them all unique. To know that they are not ever alone and whether that be in a friend, lover, or however you label it, that there is someone out there.” I whispered quietly to my flowers as I covered them with soil, kissing their soft petals in goodbye.

Before I went on, I searched my bag for some ear plugs to block out the sounds of pleasure that echoed in the garden to give everyone an illusion of privacy as I swiftly walked out of there, keeping my eyes on the ground to avoid any awkward eye contact if I came upon any Moos on accident. They are making their own offers while I had my own. As I was leaving, I heard a little moo and looked down to see a dirty MiniMoo.

It looked hungry and was stretching its body towards me, wanting to be picked up, which I did. I cradled it in my arms and thought I finally had a friend that would keep me company while I settled here. I looked at the tattered ribbon, “when we get home and you get a bath, I’m sure I have a ribbon that will look good on you. Guess I’ll call you Romeo until I am creative enough to come up with something else.” It dug its head into my arms as I carried him back to my house.
